Terms of Service

      In one line: use Resumetra to check and improve your resume against real job descriptions. Don't abuse the service, and understand that our ATS score is guidance — not a guarantee about how any specific employer's ATS will actually treat your resume.
    

1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Resumetra ("we", "us", "our"), operated at www.resumetra.com. By creating an account or using the site, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service. See also our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your data.

2. What Resumetra is

Resumetra is a resume-building and ATS (Applicant Tracking System) score-checking tool. You upload a resume and paste a job description; we analyze the resume against that job description using our own rule-based scoring engine and give you a score, a keyword match breakdown, and suggestions to improve it.

3. Your account

You must provide accurate information (name, a real email address) when signing up.
You're responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity under your account.
You must be old enough to legally use online services in your jurisdiction. Resumetra is not directed at children under 18.
One account per person — don't create accounts to get around rate limits or bans.
Tell us right away if you think your account has been compromised.

4. Acceptable use

When using Resumetra, you agree not to:

Upload files that aren't genuinely your own resume/CV, or that contain malware, scripts, or content designed to exploit the service.
Attempt to bypass rate limits, scrape the site, reverse-engineer the scoring engine, or automate access outside of normal use.
Use the service to build resumes containing false credentials, fabricated work history, or misleading claims intended to deceive an employer.
Interfere with the site's normal operation (excessive requests, attempts to breach security, probing for vulnerabilities) or attempt to access another user's account or data.
Use the service for any unlawful purpose.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.

5. No warranty on ATS score accuracy

Our ATS score is advisory and educational — it reflects how our rule-based engine reads your resume against the job description you provided. It is not a guarantee of how any specific company's actual ATS software, recruiter, or hiring process will treat your resume, and a high score does not guarantee an interview or a job offer. Different ATS platforms parse resumes differently, and human recruiters add judgment no score can capture. Use the score as one input among many, not as the final word.

6. Intellectual property

The resume content you upload or create remains yours — we don't claim ownership of it. The Resumetra site, its design, scoring logic, and branding belong to us and may not be copied, reproduced, or used to build a competing service without permission.

7. Limitation of liability

Resumetra is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service — including, without limitation, any job application outcome, missed opportunity, or data loss. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount (if any) you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

8. Account termination

You can stop using Resumetra and ask us to delete your account at any time (see our Privacy Policy for how). We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, misuse the service, or where required by law. Where reasonable, we'll try to notify you first.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Continuing to use Resumetra after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.
